While Kieran Schmidtke participated in the HYRS program, found a sense of belonging as a fellow lab member and researcher. During HYRS, Kieran used an analytical ultracentrifuge to study Adeno Associated viruses, used in gene therapy, in order to determine the purity of the tested samples.

At uLethbridge Dr. Katie Wilson (BSc Co-op '13, PhD '19) majored in biochemistry during her BSc and then went on to complete a PhD in computational chemistry. She won many awards including an NSERC Vanier Scholarship, which is one of the most prestigious PhD scholarships in Canada.
