Please tell us about your work-integrated learning experiences at ULethbridge.

I participated in experiential learning at ULethbridge by completing independent studies and joining the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) team. I successfully completed multiple independent studies with two professors, Dr. Angeliki Pantazi and Dr. Majid Mohajerani. Through this, I was able to gain experience in different research labs. In addition, I completed an applied study with Agility which was made possible because I joined the iGEM team. I performed specialized technical laboratory duties during my independent studies and obtained many competencies such as entrepreneurship skills. These skills and experiences transferred seamlessly to my iGEM research project.
