Bio: Dr. Ute Kothe is a professor in biochemistry who has been at the University of Lethbridge since 2006. She is a founding member of Alberta RNA Research and Training Institute and a former Alberta Innovates Research Chair in RNA Modification. In 2017 she was elected into the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists of the University of Lethbridge. Ute is the founder of and a supervisor in Let’s Talk Science at U of L. She is a passionate teacher and facilitator of instructional skills workshops for other professors at U of L to advance innovative teaching. She received the Distinguished Teaching Award 2014 and is the incoming Board of Governor’s Teaching Chair (2020 - 2022).
