Shining Student Myla Sept

After being at ULethbridge for a semester, Shining Student Myla Sept switched majors from neuroscience to psychology, and she couldn’t be happier as it is a much better fit. She is looking forward to a future that includes grad school and becoming a couples counsellor one day.

Shining Student Danelle Mantler

Psychology is a family affair for Danelle Mantler, as both of her parents work in the field. She has always found the field interesting. Danelle's dad is an alum and as such, she is already familiar with campus. She chose ULethbridge rather than disrupt her daughter’s life by moving to another city.

Shining Student Dustin Snider

Dustin Snider participated in an exciting applied study where he researched Long-toed salamanders through the Southern Alberta Rockies. Dustin chose environmental science at ULethbridge because of the smaller class sizes, welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to build connections with faculty.

Emily Demyen (BA '18) is a diligent and persistent worker. Finding moments of mindfulness throughout the day is essential to her and a skill she honed throughout her eight-month co-op work term, applied and independent studies at the U of L, before beginning her professional career.

Chloe Fraser (BA '20) has an Attitude of Gratitude

"Yes, the pandemic has changed things, working from home and communicating, but we have to keep moving grain and feeding the world." Chloe has never shied away from a challenge. She is a hard worker and embraces change with positivity, choosing gratitude at every turn.
