Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I grew up in Lethbridge and started my post-secondary journey at ULethbridge right after high school, beginning with a degree in psychology. During that time, I worked at the Horns Rec customer service desk — a great experience that let me connect with students, staff and the campus community. If you think you’ve seen my face before, I may have been the one who signed you up for your gym membership!

My psychology studies made me curious about how people think and make decisions, and that curiosity eventually led me to marketing, where I learned how to turn those insights into ideas that connect with others. After completing both degrees, I joined the marketing department at Lethbridge Polytechnic, where I was able to put my education into practice. I later spent some time freelancing, which was a fun and creative challenge, but I missed being part of a team.

Now I’m back at ULethbridge, and it feels like a full-circle moment. This campus has played such a big role in my life, and I’m excited to bring my passion and experience to Ancillary Services.

How long have you been at ULethbridge, and what do you do here?

I started in my role with Ancillary Services this past July. I get to do a lot of the “fun stuff” for Housing, the Bookstore and Conference and Event Services — everything from social media to posters to website content and more.

What's the best part of your job?

I love that I get to be creative every day and that I get to work with such a fantastic team of people.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

We’re heading into my favourite season, fall. I love cozy movies, DIY projects that may or may not turn out as planned, indulging in a good sweet treat (or three), and celebrating all things spooky for Halloween (and the rest of the year as well). I still make it to the gym (most days), and my two cats, Toast and Marmalade, make sure life is never boring.

Toast and marmalade.
