Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I came to ULethbridge as a student fresh out of high school. I grew up in Elkford, B.C., where my family still lives. Elkford is a small coal-mining town surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, and growing up there gave me a strong appreciation for community and the outdoors. Coming to ULethbridge was a big step for me, and it quickly became a place where I found opportunities to grow academically, personally and professionally. In 2019, I joined what was then the Management Student Association as an Academic Director. That experience sparked my interest in leadership and encouraged me to keep volunteering in student roles.
The following year, I was elected Executive Vice-President of the newly rebranded Dhillon Business Students’ Association (DBSA), which continues to be an active and engaging club today. After my time with the DBSA, I was elected Vice-President Academic of the University of Lethbridge Students’ Union (ULSU). It was in that role that I truly fell in love with the university community and knew this was where I wanted to build a career.
When my term with the ULSU ended, I was fortunate to be hired by the university as a Governance Officer in the Office of the University Secretariat. In that role, I supported the University Senate, Board of Governors, Statutory Deans’ Council (SDC), and General Faculties Council (GFC). In September 2025, I was once again privileged to step into a new role as Manager of Conference & Event Services within Ancillary Services. The University of Lethbridge is the best place I have ever worked, largely because of my amazing colleagues across campus, our incredible students, and the institution’s strong commitment to people. This is where I feel most at home.
I am not yet an alum, but I am currently working on finishing up a Bachelor of Management degree at the Dhillon School of Business.
How long have you been at ULethbridge, and what do you do here?
I’ve been at ULethbridge since 2017, and over time, my involvement grew from student leadership to staff roles. As Manager of Conference & Event Services, I work with both internal and external clients to plan and deliver events of all sizes on campus and in the community. My role includes coordinating logistics, supporting clients and staff, and ensuring each event runs smoothly while reflecting the high standards of the university. As a business unit, we do our best to support our internal community, such as students, faculty and staff in any way that we can.
What's the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is helping people bring their vision to life. It’s incredibly rewarding to see events come together after weeks or months of planning and to know that our team played a role in creating a positive experience. I also enjoy the variety and creativity involved in the work; no two events are ever the same. But the absolute best part of my job is the talented and kind people I work with in my department and across Ancillary Services and campus. As the kids would say, I’m truly blessed to have such an amazing team beside me.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I like to spend as much time outdoors as I can. I love golfing, camping, kayaking and hiking in the warmer months. I also enjoy exploring new places and seeing what makes each one unique. At home, I’m usually listening to music, reading or spending time with family and friends. As a self-proclaimed “backyard economist,” I’m always up for a good game of Monopoly.
