Artist | University Instructor

Focused on an intuitive material studio practice, Espezel’s work engages a feminist-phenomenological discourse, and the power and necessity of vulnerability. Espezel’s work has been exhibited across Alberta and Canada, most recently in the solo exhibitions Pine Cones in Small Hands at Casa Public Art Gallery in Lethbridge, and HEY NOW(s), WELLNESS CHECK(s), and other improbable obsessions at Harcourt House Gallery in Edmonton. In 2018, Espezel was artist-in-residence with Studio PRÁM, in Prague, Czech Republic, which culminated in slipping into & against, a site-specific installation.  Espezel is a Sessional Instructor in the Art Department at uLethbridge.
