What does this academic recognition mean to you?

This academic recognition acknowledges the extreme effort and hard work that I put into my PhD.

What are your hopes/plans for the future?

I have joined a new post-doctoral position at University of Toronto after finishing my PhD. In the future, I plan to enter the science publishing field in order to contribute towards making science accessible to all.

What advice would you give to those who are about to begin their journey at ULethbridge?

Honestly, I would advise them to trust themselves and not compare themselves with others as imposter syndrome is quite a common feeling in graduate school. Keep putting in small efforts day-by-day.

Even though it might feel like you're not making great progress, those small efforts add up to great accomplishments in the end in the form of publications.

Try to maintain good friendships with people in your lab. They will help you go through all the highs and lows of graduate school and make the journey enjoyable.
