The Dhillon School of Business will be starting the Fall 2026 semester with plenty to celebrate, from welcoming new faculty members to recognizing the achievements of existing scholars whose work continues to shape the school and its students.

Dr. Ana Perdomo

Dr. Ana Perdomo joins the Global Business area at the Calgary campus, bringing extensive international experience in operations and supply chain management. Having worked in a variety of industries and countries, she is passionate about helping students understand how supply chains connect businesses, people and economies around the world. Perdomo looks forward to using real-world examples and case studies to help students develop practical problem-solving skills while exploring the challenges and opportunities facing modern supply chains. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys travelling, learning languages and reading about history, business and global affairs.

Dr. Tahmina Ahmed

Joining the Accounting area, Dr. Tahmina Ahmed is excited to help students explore how accounting is evolving in response to technology, analytics, sustainability and changing stakeholder expectations. Her research examines many of these emerging trends and she enjoys connecting classroom concepts to real-world business challenges through discussions, case analyses and practical applications. Originally from Toronto, Dr. Ahmed is looking forward to her new adventure in Southern Alberta, where she hopes to spend more time exploring the Rocky Mountains with her family.

Dr. Jade Han

Dr. Jade Han joins the Management area and will be teaching Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour. Passionate about experiential learning, Dr. Han enjoys creating engaging classroom environments where students can connect theory to workplace practice through discussions, simulations, case studies and collaborative activities. Her research focuses on leadership, personality in the workplace and employee well-being. Outside of work, Han enjoys hiking and is eager to explore Alberta's trails and mountain landscapes.

Dr. Rhiannon Mesler

Dr. Rhiannon Mesler has been promoted to Full Professor. This achievement recognizes her sustained excellence in research, teaching and service, as well as the significant contributions she has made to students, colleagues and the broader academic community throughout her career.

Dr. James Smith

Dr. James Smith has been promoted to Associate Professor, an important milestone that reflects his dedication to teaching and service. His promotion recognizes his continued contributions to the Dhillon School of Business and the impact of his work within the university and beyond.

Dr. Don G. McIntyre

Dr. Don G. McIntyre has been awarded tenure and promoted to Associate Professor. Earning tenure is one of the most significant milestones in an academic career, recognizing sustained excellence and long-term contributions to research, teaching and service.
