Receiving this academic recognition fills me with immense gratitude and honour. It represents a significant milestone in my journey and brings me closer to my dream of making a meaningful impact in the world. I deeply value the privilege of higher education, as it fuels my passion for lifelong learning. This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of my Calgary cohort, exceptional professors and instructors, and my loving family.
What are your hopes and plans for the future?
Looking ahead, I am pursuing a graduate program focused on enhancing community-based mental health programs for marginalized groups. This involves deepening my understanding of the social determinants of health and devising innovative strategies to break down barriers hindering access to essential healthcare services. My goal is to become a holistic psychologist, striving to increase access to mental health care for those who have needed it the most but couldn't obtain it. Whether by advocating for more equitable programs or directly assisting those in need, I am committed to making a meaningful impact in the realm of mental health.
