Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I was born (Coaldale) and raised in southern Alberta. I met my wife while attending ULethbridge, and we have four daughters.  I have worked at the University of Lethbridge for 20 years. I articled with Young Parkyn McNab and obtained my CPA designation. Once I received my designation, I worked in Financial Services until taking a position in Athletics and Recreation Services (ARS) in July.

How long have you been at ULethbridge, and what do you do here?

I have been here for 20 years, but I've been in my current role as Director of Horns Recreation for six months. My portfolio includes the Fitness Centre, Ascent Climbing Centre, Aquatic Centre, Intramurals, fitness programs, and athletic capital projects.

What's the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is the people I work with. I enjoy working with managers, staff, students and other departments to come up with improvements in recreation. It has been really rewarding to work with passionate individuals who want to support ULethbridge and the community.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoy hiking with my family and watching their sporting activities. I play basketball in the winter and golf in the summer. I also enjoy construction and renovating homes in my spare time.
