Arden Twerdoclib has completed the final preceptorship required for her Bachelor of Nursing program.
I was fortunate enough to complete my preceptorship on a labour and delivery unit in Calgary, and I am so excited for my future in this area of nursing.

Why did you choose ULethbridge?
I wanted a change of scenery and a fresh start! My sister lives in Lethbridge which also gave me a good reason to move south.
What is your most memorable ULethbridge experience?
Making friends that I know will be in my life forever.
How have your professors impacted your education?
Hugely! My instructors motivated me to be the greatest nurse that I can be and to work hard for what I want. More than mentors, they have been cheerleaders, role models, and sources of pure wisdom!
Is there anyone who has had an important influence on your ULethbridge experience?
So many people! Danielle Aitkens (Lethbridge College) was the first person who helped me realize my full potential. She taught me to be passionate and eager and has supported me throughout my degree. Trenna Devoy and Karen Rowles at the University both left a lasting and powerful influence on me. The smartest, kindest, and most encouraging women I know I have met through my ULethbridge experience.
What are your hopes and plans for the future?
Seeing as how I just finished my final focus, I guess my next steps are to write my NCLEX (licensing exam for registered nurses) and start working! I was fortunate enough to complete my preceptorship on a labour and delivery unit in Calgary, and I am so excited for my future in this area of nursing. I see a lot of travelling, reading books that aren’t textbooks, and time for creative hobbies in my future!
In your free time, what do you like to do?
I like to read, travel, explore new restaurants, spend time outside, do yoga and be artsy! I love spending time with my family and friends, and I look forward to having more time and money to do the things I love with the people I love.
What advice would you give to someone about to start their journey at ULethbridge?
Work hard! Have fun yes… but working hard and building relationships will open so many doors for you.
