Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I grew up in small town Manitoba. After high school, I received an Office Administration Diploma followed by a Dental Assistant Certificate. I worked for five years in southern Manitoba before adventuring to B.C. with my soon-to-be husband. We enjoyed B.C., camping in the summers and skiing in the winters. I gained valuable experience working as an Administrative Assistant in various industries, including life insurance, real estate and legal fields. Then, in 2011, life took us to Calgary. I was provided with a fantastic opportunity to work at Shaw Communications as a Records Technician. I was excited, my background fit perfectly, a combination of strong administrative and organizational skills, along with meticulous attention to detail and an outgoing personality. After seven wonderful years at Shaw, I then received an opportunity to further my records management journey with the Government of Alberta in Edmonton. Through the wonderful benefit program at Shaw and the GOA, I was able to obtain a Certificate in Information and Records Management. It was five solid years of night school, and I could not have completed it without the loving support of my husband. I joined ULethbridge in November 2023, bringing my years of experience in records management principles and practices.

This grounds me and reminds me that life is so beautiful and precious.
