Alex is no stranger to a busy schedule. “The busier I am, the happier I am," said the fifth-year, Dhillon School of Business Bachelor of Management degree student.

While Alex completed the bulk of her degree program at the Lethbridge Campus, she switched to the Calgary campus in her final year when she had the opportunity for a co-op placement in Banff, Alberta. That change gave her the flexibility she needed to finish her degree while working full time for Parks Canada.

“There was a culture change in switching to the Calgary Campus – everyone knows each other. It’s quite welcoming and a diverse mix of students with different backgrounds and experiences.”

Alex combined her love of the outdoors and interest in marketing with a 12-month co-op placement marketing the Hot Springs. "I got to live in Banff – until COVID shut us down, unfortunately. I've been working online from Calgary since and finishing up the last of my courses, which was a bit lucky as I've been able to do both at the same time. It's so flexible." Alex sat down with Calgary Campus staff in a COVID Conversations interview about her co-op placement experience during the pandemic.

Alex’s advice to students considering uLethbridge Dhillon School of Business? “Dive in! Get involved in as many clubs, groups (even online groups or events) and experiences as possible.”
