What does this academic recognition mean to you?

It means the world. I can’t describe the feeling of getting my academic work recognized. It’s great to have my hard work recognized.

What is your most memorable ULethbridge experience?

My most memorable experience was having to do a year of my degree online and getting to study with Peder MacLellan from the Vancouver Symphony orchestra because of it.

What is the most important lesson you learned during your time at ULethbridge?

The most important lesson I learned was how to take my learning into my own hands. I learned how to find my place in the world, but also how to make space for myself in the professional world.

Is there someone specific who had an important influence on your ULethbridge experience?

Dr. Nick Sullivan had a huge influence on my university career as well as my mom.

I hope to continue making music, supporting community music projects and encourage people to play music for fun.

What advice would you give to those who are about to begin their journey at ULethbridge?
